coaxing the shallops’ to dabble
draped in foam of deep white
constantly engrossed in a squabble.
The wind whispered and mingled
with the limpid waters so blue
creating an explicit ripple
glittering with every possible hue.
As my feet kissed the virgin sands
I froze in the timeless rapture
bound and held like a prisoner
till I gave in to the capture.
I listened to the song of the waves
echoing in the darkest of nights
holding me breast to breast
giving me a divine insight.
I imagined the wide colorful shoal
playing with the bantering waves in glee
joining in the beautiful melody
as exquisite as anything could be.
Each wave sang a different tune
stirring up my wild imagination
carrying me beyond its endless abyss
into the world of colorful animation.
Long after in my bed alone
I retrieved the words till long
morning brought a new day
the waves still sang the song...
